About

Bio

Thomas is a photographer from Munich, Germany. He holds a diploma in biology and a doctorate in history of science. After many years in academia doing research in the history of technology he finally decided to quit his job and follow his long-standing passion for photography and the visual arts. And while his previous life as a scholar might be not much of a help when it comes to f-stops and shutter speeds it certainly informs his way of seeing the world. A particular focus of his photographic work is on our built environment and the people interacting with it.

In 2016, he also started a headshot & portrait business which you can find on: www.thomaswieland.de
